ProAlert.us has more alert delivery options than many other alert services.
The only delivery option we do not offer is the so called "Audio Delivery" method. This method is where you receive a notice and you must call the alert service back to listen to a recorded message. This method is both slow and cumbersome. Our alerts are meant to be fast and easy to understand. During a time when time may not be on your side, a long time consuming process is not what is needed.
Delivery Methods Available:
• Email Direct (SMTP): ProAlert.us sends your email alerts directly to your email inbox, cell phone or pager. We bypass the local ISP and send it straight to your provider. If this fails we try one more time. If it fails once more, we send it via one of our many backup email routing systems. Our people and systems do the best they can to see that the alert reaches you. Please note that ProAlert.us will no longer send emailed alerts to Yahoo.com do to poor system performance on the part of Yahoo.com.
• WCTP: The Wireless Communications Transfer Protocol (WCTP) is specifically aimed at creating an easy means of passing alphanumeric and binary messages to and from wireline systems and two-way capable wireless devices. WCTP is directly applicable for messaging to/from most other wireless technologies including PCS, GSM, and cellular.
ProAlert.us offers this at no extra charge. Check with your provider to see if they are able to use this form of delivery.
• SNPP: This is a simple way for delivering wireless messages, both one and two-way, to appropriate receiving devices such as pagers and cellular phones. Dependent on the provider you have, some of the advanced features of SNPP are Delivery Notification, Hold Messages Until a specified date or time, check the status if a pager is turned on, select different locations and more. Not all features will be available with all carrier or limits will be placed on the pager type.
ProAlert.us offers this at no extra charge. Check with your provider to see if they are able to use this form of delivery.
